Senior Band

The Long Eaton Silver Prize Band is lead by the group's Musical Director Sharon Stansfield and currently consists of 43 players, aged between 10 and 80 years.

The band rehearses in our club every Wednesday (except between Christmas and New Year) between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The band currently competes in the third section and was Midlands Area and National Third Section Champions in 2006.

The band welcomes any new players who have moved into the area and are looking for a band to join. We also encourage members of our training band to join us, which is why we have so many players!

The band gives a number of concerts each year, mainly in Long Eaton and the surrounding area. The band uniform is white shirt/blouse, black bow tie, black trousers/skirts and black socks and shoes. The band provides walking out and concert jackets and a band tie.
